Micro TV Studio

Our digital television studio uses the latest technology to produce true broadcast quality HD television. The studio comprises of four cameras, three of which are 4KUHD and one at 6KUHD.  The system downscales the cameras to 1080p UHD and records the video-switched signal to a Hyperdeck either for live broadcast or ready for editing in our edit suit. All cameras independently record to their own media drives if required for editorial changes in post-production.  (The studio has an autocue which can be connected to any camera). Three independent computers control the studio all working together via their own private network.

An array of overhead LED flat panel lights provides the correct illumination balance for various filming sets at a uniform white balance.  This together with blue-screen and green-screen chroma-key sets allowing for the flexibility of adding digital backgrounds if required. A large monitor screen can be incorporated into the set in sync for the addition of graphs, adverts, or Zoom interviews.

Rode lavaliere radio microphones provide the main audio; however, we have a sizeable range of microphones for other applications, including radio microphones, shotgun microphones, condenser microphones, vocal microphones, musical instrument microphones and boom microphones.  Various sound mixers are available (analogue and digital), together with broadcast quality headphones, audio monitoring active speakers and a pair of powerful PA speakers.

The editing suit uses two workstation computers.  One for editing with various software applications such as Adobe Premier Pro, Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve, Prosonus audio DAW, and other tools, including AI technologies for graphics and film. The other workstation computer is used for graphics using Adobe graphics tools such as Lightroom, Photoshop and a range of other applications.
